Good morning all those other people who can’t sleep and are up playing with blogs at an early hour this morning.
This is my second attempt at a blog. The first died a slow and painful death after I neglected to update it. I am confident this will not follow in its footsteps.
The main reason I have started this blog is to keep an up-to-date track on how things are going in my life and in particular how things are progressing with Penny. She is the new girl in my life having arrived on Tuesday 19 February 2008. She’s 165cm and dark bay or donkerbruin for all those dutchies out there. Oh and yes, she’s a horse. So far things are going pretty well but I’m sure there will be many highs and lows in the days/weeks/months to come.
Other important factors in my life are of course my boyfriend, Bas, who is the reason I moved to Holland and is fabulous and very patient and supportive. I also have two cats, Claudius and Ophelia, who will shortly be multiplying into many cats as Ophelia is going to pop any minute now and then shortly after poor Claudius will be going to get the snip (but I haven’t told him that yet). And of course my family, the youngest of which, Lorna, is hopefully coming over to visit soon.
I am now off to play with said girly and this weekend we will be discovering how scary the road can be.
